Semien Mountain Trekking -12 Days
It is one of Africa’s largest mountain ranges many of its peaks rise above 4000 m. Mount Ras Dashen (4, 6200 m) is the highest point in Ethiopia and the fourth highest peak in Africa is part of the Simen mountain ranges that offer a unique experience for trekkers. The mountain range’s impressive scenery, for a series of dramatic cliffs and escarpments, the beautiful alpine meadows, and the rugged wilderness of the high peak areas make the semen a remarkable area for trekking.
Itineraries
DAY 1
Addis Abeba sightseeing.
DAY 2
After checking into the hotel We visit the monastery churches of Ura Kidane Mihiret, Azwa Mariam (4 Hours) afternoon we Drive to the Blue Nile Falls, which is known locally as Tissisat (smoking water) (4 Hours)
DAY 3
Drive to Gonder (4 Hours) Gondar was the first capital city of the Ethiopian Empire, which began in 1632 with the reign of Fasilidas. In the morning visit Fasilidas’ Palace, probably the most impressive of all the castles found in the area and the oldest one! We continue on to the bath of Fasiledes and Quskuam Church (3 Hours)
DAY 4
Drive Gondar to Sankaber, 130 km (2 Hours) the first camp in the Semen Mountain Overnight camping.
DAY 5
Trekking Sankaber to Gich about 5/6 hours. Overnight camping.
DAY 6
Trekking Gich to Imet Gogo back to Gich. 5h Overnight in the Camping

Gich to sankaber back to Debark (full D)
